01 — What it was

Software that aids the collection, transmission and analysis of data feeding Ghana’s Voluntary Partnership Agreement (VPA) implementation impact-monitoring framework.

02 — Why it mattered

The framework monitors the impact of implementing Ghana’s VPA, and that monitoring is only as good as the data it receives.

03 — My role

Senior QA Engineer | Systems Implementation Engineer at Devnest Systems, as part of the delivery team. I didn’t build the system.

04 — Technical problems

Data passes through three stages, collection, transmission and analysis, so QA had to check that it arrived intact and that the analysis reflected what was collected.

05 — What I did

As part of the Devnest team, I contributed to the end-to-end quality validation and launch of GhNRM. I ran Playwright regression suites, supported data migration with Postman and Microsoft SQL Server, took part in production deployments, and trained and supported end users through documentation and remote troubleshooting.

06 — Tools

Playwright, Postman, Microsoft SQL Server

07 — Result

Launched to feed Ghana’s VPA implementation impact-monitoring framework.

08 — What I learned

When data is collected in one place and analysed in another, I learned to test the journey between them, not only each end.
