My role: Senior QA Engineer at Fido Micro Credit, as part of the engineering team. Once everything moved into one platform, I tested that every subsystem still worked and that the switch was smooth for the departments using it. I covered it with Playwright suites in CI/CD and tracked issues in Jira.

01 — What it was

A new internal all-in-one platform at Fido. It became the main banking tool and also houses internal back-office and admin tools.

02 — Why it mattered

Bringing departments’ tools into one platform means many teams depend on that one system for their daily work.

03 — My role

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Fido Micro Credit, working inside the engineering team. I didn’t build the platform.

04 — Technical problems

Once everything moved into one platform, every subsystem had to keep working inside it, and the transition had to be smooth for the departments using it.

05 — What I did

As part of the team, I tested that every subsystem still worked after the consolidation and that the switch was smooth for the departments using it. I covered it with Playwright suites that run in the CI/CD pipeline, and tracked issues in Jira. As part of my role at Fido, I also supported UAT and production validation and contributed to test planning and documentation.

06 — Tools

Playwright, CI/CD, Jira

07 — Result

Volta is Fido’s main banking tool, with its back-office and admin tools in the same platform.

08 — What I learned

Consolidation testing taught me to treat each existing subsystem as a promise to keep: the new platform only works if nothing a department relied on quietly breaks.
